È conosciuta per essere la località dove l'mwggesercito svedese capitolò nella Guerra Finlandese, il 25 marzo mwgw1809, a vantaggio della mwhaRussia. In questa guerra la Svezia perse la mwhqFinlandia, che passò sotto il controllo dello mwhgZar.
